Director of Franchise Operations Services supports the Vice President of International Development and Operations on the franchise partner journey from onboarding through the life cycle of the business. This role serves as the primary point of contact and support to all franchise partner relationships and focuses on: new franchise partner onboarding, New Studio Opening (NSO) process, and ongoing business performance & support by leading communication cadences to franchise partners and partnering with cross-functional corporate team members in support of franchise division goals.  A rare combination of data oriented and personable, the ideal candidate must demonstrate high organizational and administrative skills, as well as interpersonal skills across the range of countries and cultures where Barry’s operates franchise studios.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Franchisee Onboarding
    • Drive adherence to the franchise manual, level set expectations for the franchise journey, key roles and responsibilities between franchisor + franchise partner
  • Leading Franchise New Studio Opening (NSO) Process
    • Review site selection criteria with franchise partner; collaborate to deliver a site approval package for VP of Int’l Dev and Chief Operating Officer
    • Manage construction and opening schedule of new franchise studios; project manage on weekly calls with studios in development, driving to adherence on training and ops milestones
    • Communication of and adherence to Start up manual
  • Driving Franchise Business Performance
    • Weekly/monthly business performance data analysis - reporting / building action plans with partners
    • Drive Monthly Business Review cadence with partners, lead operators and marketers from each region - drive follow-up communication and action plans
    • Bi-annual analysis of franchise studio profit and loss statements, benchmarking studio profitability and building action plans
  • Partnering with key stakeholders at HQ on franchise issue troubleshooting / action planning
    • Linking back to franchise manual for SOP support
    • Be the subject matter expert on all business trends, factors, and issues in partner markets
  • Standards Compliance
    • Driving adherence to brand standards established in Franchise Manual
    • Liaising with Corporate ops, Marketing, Supply chain, Retail, and Talent teams to communicate new programs
    • All manner of support and communication leadership with franchise partners – 24 hour response window to franchise partner communications

Requirements

  • Availability for full time work during the hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm EST
  • 3-5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of and passion for fitness, hospitality, food & beverage industries
  • Multi-unit franchise operations and management experience preferred 
  • Up to 20% travel required
