Our Facilities Team is essential to the operation of our fitness studio -- they keep our equipment and studio clean and inviting for guests, make sure everything is in operating order, and provide excellent customer service. The Regional Facilities Manager will provide outstanding client service in ensuring Barry's studios uphold our standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the implementation of facilities programs and processes that reduce operating costs and increase productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, environment, and risk management policies and procedures
  • Handle facilities inventory stock and reorder facilities supplies  
  • Manage projects as assigned to support different studios
  • Ensure team members are trained properly and carry out their individual responsibilities
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with staff across all departments

Studio Maintenance

  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  • Respond to emergency requests as required; trouble shoot issues to determine cause and solution
  • Report any repair issues that need professional attention to D.O.F
    • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly facilities inspections, maintaining on-site service logs/service books
  • Check in with General Managers & monitor emails to ensure Barry's expectations are being met
  • Perform HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in managing facilities vendors, ensuring services are delivered in accordance to Barry’s standards/contract
    • Schedule and perform minor studio repairs, including but not limited to; locker repairs, lighting, plumbing, treadmill repairs, painting, washer and dryer troubleshooting, and other facility repairs
  • Assist facilities team by working maintenance shifts - cleaning studio floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming – as back up, when needed
  • Manage studio repairs needs, performing preventative, diagnostic, and corrective  maintenance on treadmills or other studio equipment
  • Special projects and assignments, as is necessary

Treadmill Management

  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Order what is necessary to ensure proper parts are in stock, and that broken parts are shipped back promptly
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and schedule deep cleaning accordingly for each studio
  • Assist with treadmill repair at DC-area studios when needed

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in facilities or maintenance management with progressive responsibilities.  
  • Strong technical aptitude and follow through.
  • Exceptional electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Electrical and/or plumbing licenses a plus.
  • Knowledge of facilities upkeep.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Passion for fitness highly recommended.
