SALARY: £31,122 per annum

OBJECTIVE

As Assistant Studio Manager, you will support the Studio Manager to oversee and manage the day to day studio operations whilst assisting in managing in studio teams to ensure we are building a strong local community and delivering the best possible client experience. This role requires a strong balance between maintaining best practice in both studio operations and people management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Experience

  • Support the Studio Manager to deliver the brand vision and ensure this is lived and demonstrated in the studio at all times
  • Partner with the Studio Manager to create, build and maintain a strong local community and assist with client queries to maintain the highest level of service at all times
  • Work studio desk shifts to showcase the best of brand skills and support the day to day management of in studio teams
  • Assist with in-studio client experience projects
  • Work with the Studio Manager to identify areas of improvement or opportunity based on client feedback
  • Support with private or special events within your studio when requested
  • Maintain the highest level of service at all times and feedback team’s performance to the Studio Manager when necessary
  • Partner with Studio Manager to deliver all marketing campaigns within studios effectively and efficiently

OPERATIONS

  • Support the Studio Manager with the daily operations of the studio
  • Assist with orders and maintain stock levels for all studio supplies, inclusive of Fuel Bar, Retail and the Red Room
  • Ensure shifts are recorded and approved accordingly when the Studio Manager is absent
  • Supporting with arranging cover for holiday requests, sickness and emergency absence when requested.
  • Supporting the Studio Manager to ensure the studio has adequate staffing coverage
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and be on call to assist with any studio emergencies when the Studio Manager is off duty and report any issues to the Studio Manager
  • Report any Health and Safety risks to the Studio Manager and support with record keeping
  • In the absence of the Studio Manager, record and approve shifts and manage studio monthly payroll

LEADERSHIP

  • Be the main point of contact in Studio Managers absence. Reporting to the General Manager where required.
  • Help deliver company communications to the relevant employees within your studio
  • Support with training and development for in studio teams
  • Assistant the Studio Manager on addressing employee relations concerns whilst also recognising achievements
  • Educate staff on the Barry’s Handbook and promote a positive working environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • At least 2 years experience within a similar management role
  • Assertive and clear style of communication
  • Strategic thinker
  • Strong delegation, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to solve a range of problems that may arise.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and communicate across departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and delegate work where necessary.
  • Excellent supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience developing, coaching, and mentoring diverse teams is preferred
  • Understanding of the fitness, health and wellness industries.
  • Passion for the Barry's brand.

FURTHER INFORMATION

  • Your normal working hours are not variable; however, your working pattern will vary depending on the needs of the business. You will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week over Monday to Sunday between 5.30am and 11.30pm. You will be required to coordinate your working schedule each week with the Studio Manager’s working schedule to ensure that there is full studio coverage and a point of contact throughout studio operating hours. This will include at least one open and one close each week.
  • You will be expected to attend any meetings that the Studio Manager is required to attend in their absence and represent your studio.
  • This role includes weekend work.
  • You may be required to work at marketing events outside of the studio when required
  • Other duties may be assigned on an ad hoc basis.
